(Atlantic City).- New Jersey's Division of Gaming Enforcement reports a 0.9% revenue increase and 3.3% profit growth for Atlantic City casinos in Q2 2025, despite a dip in year-to-date performance and hotel occupancy.

Atlantic City Casino Revenue Reaches $837.2M in Q2 2025, Operating Profits Up 3.3%
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has released financial results for the second quarter of 2025, showing that Atlantic City’s casino industry generated $837.2 million in net revenue, a 0.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Gross operating profit across all casino licensees reached $184.3 million in Q2 2025, marking a 3.3% year-over-year increase.
First Half of 2025: Revenue and Profit Dip
Despite Q2 growth, the first six months of 2025 saw overall declines:
Net Revenue (Jan–June 2025): $1.57 billion (-2.0% YoY)
Gross Operating Profit (Jan–June 2025): $320.7 million (-3.9% YoY)
The DGE notes that accurate comparisons for online gaming and sports betting revenue must factor in specific footnotes provided in the Quarterly Financial Report, which detail revenue attribution across digital platforms and casino operations.
Hotel Occupancy Rates Decline
Casino hotel occupancy rates slightly declined in Q2:
Q2 2025 Occupancy Rate: 72.6% (down 0.7 percentage points from Q2 2024)
YTD Occupancy (Jan–June 2025): 67.8% (down 1.3 percentage points year-over-year)
While physical casino performance improved this quarter, the year-to-date results suggest ongoing market challenges amid growing competition from digital gaming platforms.
